One thing I love: creating beautiful things. So when I heard about MAIL TAG, I was so, so excited! I find myself so busy filling orders of my art pieces in the shop that I lose the joy of creating something beautiful and new. Creating something new, especially something unique and different, makes your mind think so much deeper and broadens your horizons. Lately, I’ve been trying to push myself to create something new every week.
So, when I heard from a dear friend about this fabulous idea of mail tag, I could barely contain my excitement! What is mail tag?
The amazing illustrator and blogger Bianca Jagoe drew the above infographic to describe mail tag on her blog here! She has lots of awesome printables and beautiful examples of mail tag there!
So, here’s a few photos of my most recent mail tag!
To make these, I used a paper cutter to cut four pieces of various map, cardstock, and scrapbook paper into the perfect size to fit in a standard letter envelope. Then, I went crazy with my Cricut! These images were cut from the Small Talk Tags & Frames cartridge! For the last image, I used my watercolor and hand lettering skills to create this print with an inspirational quote:
I love adding this print, as my friends who receive it can use this as decor for their desk or bulletin board, so it’s re-useable! That’s an important part of mail tag for me, giving them pretty and beautiful things that are not only part of the questions and answers, but that can be kept and used as decor for a bulletin board later. Another great idea is to include printables that can be hung up or even blank note cards that your recipient can use later.
Check out my inspiration Pinterest board below for mail tag ideas! Also, please post your own mail tag photos below! I’d LOVE to see them! Stay tuned for more mail tag adventures as life goes on.
